Add the bacon to a cold skillet (use one that has a lid and is large enough to hold the green beans as well).
Heat the skillet over medium high heat and cook the bacon until it begins to crisp.
Add the green beans to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
Place the lid on the skillet and reduce the heat to medium. Cook for anywhere from 5-12 min, depending on how tender you like your green beans, stirring halfway through.
